✈️ Your Weekly Crew Briefing: Flight Attendant Jobs and A May Bonus!

Hello Reader,

Happy May! 🌸

I’m feeling ready and focused for another great month, and I hope you are, too.

This month’s theme is “Nobody’s done ’til we’re all done.” It’s more than just a feel-good phrase. It’s a core value in aviation. If your crew up in the front of the aircraft or in the back is still working, a great flight attendant will step in and help!

Whether you're just getting started or deep in interview prep, I’ve got your back.

We’ve added a May bonus to help you take the next step in your flight attendant journey. More on that below. Let’s get into it.

Who’s Hiring Flight Attendants

Two airlines opened applications yesterday:

  • TUI (Stockholm) – Accepting applications for cabin crew roles based at Arlanda Airport. You must already have the legal right to live and work in Sweden.
  • CommuteAir (Washington, DC) – Now hiring flight attendants for their IAD (Dulles) base. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Tip of the Week - Information

I’ve had a lot of questions this week about the Hawaiian Airlines hiring announcement and some other airlines. The best thing you can do is read the job description. That’s where you’ll find all the requirements and details about who they’re looking for.

Hawaiian is very different from the other airlines, and I know that it's one of the airlines missing from the Flight Attendant Blog. I'll be working on that soon (a lot will change, too, because they are merging with Alaska, which is the reason I haven't done those airlines sooner!)

In the meantime, your best source of information is the job description.

If you need more support through the application process, the Future Flight Attendant Course & Coaching Program is where you’ll get hands-on guidance, personalized career counseling, and interview prep and practice both one-on-one and in a group setting. You can ask any and all of your questions and have all the support you need.

Future Flight Attendant Amazon Storefront

Don’t forget to check out the Future Flight Attendant Amazon Storefront. I’ve curated everything from interview outfits to travel must-haves to help you stay ready. I've also got some video reviews coming up so you can see more shoes in action.

If you know anyone who can benefit from this information, you can share it by forwarding this email.

Wheels up!

American Airlines Tail looking out Aircraft Door

Hello Reader, I hope you're having a great week so far. My highlight of the week? One of our community members invited me to the American Airlines Virtual Graduation, and I got emotional watching him get his wings. He started with one airline and upgraded to American, and I'm so proud to have played a small part in his journey through it all. I appreciate that American Airlines offers virtual graduation options for friends and family. When I graduated, my husband (then fiancé) flew standby...

Hello Reader, I hope you are having a great week so far. We’ve had friends visiting from out of state, and it’s been so nice to slow down and enjoy the wildlife through fresh eyes. A robin built her nest in one of the barns, and this week, the eggs hatched, tiny, fuzzy baby birds just starting out. My friend got this amazing picture and it made me think of all the aspiring flight attendants in our community. I call you my baby birds, and this space is your nest. You’re growing and preparing,...

Hello Reader, I've been trying to snap a photo of Tom Turkey, whom I mentioned last week, but he’s too smart. He knows it’s hunting season so he won't let me get close. I’m relieved; he’s too exquisite to end up on anyone’s table. Now we have a new pair of visitors: two Canadian geese are scouting the property, looking for the perfect place to lay their eggs. I hope they choose our home. I would love to see a few goslings waddling around. The geese got me thinking: we’re all searching for the...
