✈️ Get Ready for Delta and Make Your Name Memorable | Crew Briefing

Hello Reader,

Somehow, it’s already the end of May, and time flies faster than an island hopper flight! My middle child, my son, is graduating next week, and I’m still wondering how he grew up right under my nose.

When my youngest two were little, they were seasoned travelers, happily flying back and forth between Hawaii and Newark to visit family. Those cross-country trips became our little adventures.

My kids behaved so well that people would ask if I’d slipped them Benadryl—which, for the record, I never did! The real secret? Weeks of zero screen time, followed by all the in-flight movies and games they wanted. I miss those days—sometimes I wish I could freeze time—but watching them grow into kind, responsible adults is just as rewarding.

As I reflect on those parenting milestones, I’m reminded why I’m so passionate about helping others take flight—my own baby birds, and all of you finding your wings. Whether you’re preparing for your first interview or your first hundred flights, I’m here to share what I’ve learned and cheer you on.

💺 This Week at Future Flight Attendant

There is some exciting news! Delta will be opening flight attendant applications shortly. I’m not sure of the exact day yet, but get ready because it’s coming.

Delta is one of the most difficult airlines to get into, so please take my advice: be prepared for every step of the process with the Flight Attendant Interview Masterclass.

Seniority is everything in Aviation, so the faster you get hired, the better. Don’t take a chance with your career; showcase your skills as the ideal candidate.

The Flight Attendant Interview Masterclass is built to meet you wherever you are in the hiring journey, including:

  • Exploring Whether a Flight Attendant Career Is the Right Fit
  • Preparing Resumes, Applications, and Screening Questions
  • Getting Ready for Video Interviews and Online Assessments
  • Attending Face-to-Face Interviews and Group Assessments
  • Interviewing Across Multiple Airlines With Confidence

🛫 Who’s Hiring Flight Attendants

I’d like to mention that both boards are updated once a day, so even if the airline you would like to apply to isn’t showing hiring, it’s not a bad idea to check anyway, especially with Delta opening soon. Just in case!

🇺🇸 US Applicants, please visit the Future Flight Attendant Job Board for current openings.

🇪🇺🇬🇧 Europe & UK Applicants, please browse the Cabin Crew Careers Page for new listings.

💡 Tip of the Week: Make Your Name Easy to Remember.

When you walk into a group interview, training class, briefing room, or even onto the aircraft with a new crew, always introduce yourself.

Not just because it is polite.

Because names matter.

In aviation, you may be working with people you just met that morning. If there is an emergency, a medical situation, a security concern, or even just a fast-moving service issue, communication becomes much easier when people already know who you are.

A simple way to make your name stick is to connect it to something familiar.

For example:

“Hello, my name is Deanna. Deanna, like Deanna Troi from Star Trek.”

That gives people a quick mental association, and it makes your introduction more memorable without being over the top.

In a group interview, this can help you stand out in a polished, natural way. On the line, it can help build instant teamwork.

Your introduction doesn’t have to be clever or complicated—just clear, confident, and easy to remember.

Do you have your own trick for making names stick? Hit reply and share your favorite memory hacks! I’d love to feature some reader tips in an upcoming Crew Briefing.

Before you can be part of a crew, people need to know who you are.

🛍️ Amazon Storefront & Pick of the Week

First impressions matter, and nothing says 'unprepared' like showing up to an interview in wrinkled clothing. After too many close calls with hotel irons—burn marks, water stains, and mystery residue—I finally made the switch to a travel steamer. No more worrying about someone else’s mishap ruining my garments.

Steaming is faster, gentler on fabrics, and far less likely to go wrong than ironing. It’s truly a game-changer for keeping uniforms looking crisp on the go.

The best part? This compact travel steamer isn’t just for trips—it’s become my go-to at home, too. It saves time, takes up little space, and makes ironing feel obsolete.

🎙️Final Boarding Announcement

As we wrap up this week’s Crew Briefing, remember: preparation is what sets you apart. Whether you’re heading into an interview, starting training, or stepping onto the aircraft for the first time. Small details, like a crisp uniform and a confident introduction, can make a lasting impression. Stay ready, stay sharp, and keep moving toward your goals.

If you know anyone who can benefit from this information, you can share it by forwarding this email.

Wishing you a week of blue skies and smooth interviews.

Wheels up!
