Tip of the Week: Embracing HolidaysBeing a flight attendant means embracing a flexible lifestyle, especially during holidays. Until you are senior enough to hold some holidays off, you can expect to work most of them. While you might miss family time and have to work, remember that many airlines offer additional holiday pay for some of the major holidays, and you can celebrate the Holidays when you are home on a different day. I had to work many holidays, including Christmas, and we celebrated any holidays when Mommy was home. The kids got used to it, and it even spread the holidays out longer. Instead of having one day for a holiday, you have a whole holiday week or season. Getting acquainted with holiday pay rates for flight attendants is essential as they can vary significantly, and you need to make the most out of your time away from home. So be sure to study how you can maximize your holiday pay after you get hired. Accepting holidays as a part of the job early in your career can help set realistic expectations and foster a positive outlook on working holidays. To those celebrating, Happy Fourth of July! May this day remind you of the beautiful journey ahead of you. That's all for this week's edition. Remember, your path to becoming a flight attendant is a beautiful one. Stay motivated, stay informed, and, most importantly, enjoy the journey. If you know anyone who can benefit from this information, you can share it by forwarding this email. Enjoy the rest of your week! Deanna Future Flight Attendant - Your Total Flight Attendant Career Center Let's Connect! |

Hello Reader, After the Southwest alert glitch, I received hundreds of emails. Some were hard to read, but most were thoughtful, kind, and deeply encouraging. I have been reading every single one, and I want to say thank you. Your messages reminded me of something important. The flight attendant I was working with was in the forward galley with headphones on, the galley curtain closed, and watching a movie. He didn’t even know I was being attacked in the aisle. That moment changed everything...
