✈️ The Hardest Part of Flight Attendant Life, Recovery Rituals, and Who’s Hiring | Crew Briefing

Hello Reader,

I hope you're having a great week so far. Here in Pennsylvania, we've been dealing with heavy smoke from the Canadian wildfires, and our air purifiers have been running nonstop. I hope you're staying safe and breathing easy wherever you are.

I’ve been thinking about the animals that breathe it day and night. It's something I've noticed, and perhaps you have too.

Empathy is part of this work. As flight attendants, we’re trained to anticipate needs, offer comfort, and stay calm when others can’t. That kind of care extends beyond the cabin. It’s part of who we are.

Let's get into this week's Crew Briefing!

This Week at Future Flight Attendant

If you're serious about getting hired, this is the time to lock in your support.

My signature high-touch experience for those who want support every step of the way. Includes ongoing coaching, help choosing the right airline, strategy around pay and location, and full support from interview prep to your job offer and beyond.

Learn More About the Course & Coaching Program

Did you know that training is still part of the interview process? That's why it's called a CJO (Conditional Job Offer) or CTO (Conditional Training Offer). You are not guaranteed your wings until you pass training. It is the hardest part of the entire process, mentally, physically, and emotionally.

If you're getting ready for training, I also offer a specialized resource designed just for you. The Flight Attendant Training Prep Program is packed with everything I wish I had when I was getting ready for my own training: practical tips, learning strategies, and insights to help you feel calm, confident, and ready to shine from Day 1.

You can check it out HERE.

Tip of the Week - Leg Recovery

Post-flight leg recovery ritual, from elevation to magnesium cream, that keeps your legs healthy and ready the next morning.

Post-Flight Leg Recovery Picks

Magnesium Soaks (My personal favorite for recovery!)

A warm bath is more than self-care; it’s circulation support, lymphatic drainage, and instant attitude adjustment.

  • Lavender Magnesium Flakes – My go-to when I need a deep sleep after a busy and unpredictable schedule. Calms muscles and mind.
  • Shea Butter Magnesium Soak – A double hit of moisture and muscle recovery. Especially good after dry-air flights or winter legs.
  • Unscented Epsom Salt – A blank canvas for custom baths with essential oils (or when you’re scent-sensitive).

Sprays + Topical Magnesium

For mid-trip, when a full soak isn’t an option, or as a quick leg reset.

  • Magnesium Spray – I use this the most. Easy, fast, and so effective after flying.
  • Magnesium Cream – A great option for dry skin and muscle support in one.

Compression Socks & Hose

  • I have an entire section of the storefront dedicated to compression socks & hose, with an explanation of the levels of support HERE.

Hydration + Internal Support

What you put in your body matters, too.

  • Electrolyte Packets – Replenish after flights and long days.
  • Unflavored Collagen Powder – I take this daily to support circulation, joint health, and glowing skin.
  • Remember to drink! Once you feel thirsty, you're already technically dehydrated. A good rule of thumb is to drink 8 ounces of water for every hour of flight.

Everyone’s body is different, so if you’re dealing with circulation concerns or frequent swelling, it’s always a good idea to talk with your health care provider about the best recovery practices for you.

Check Out the Post Flight Recovery Section of the Amazon Storefront HERE. Be sure to bookmark as I'll be adding more products throughout the month.

The magnesium cream in the Post Flight Recovery Section is a limited-time deal right now, over half off. I'm not sure how long it will last, so be sure to get it while it's on sale.

Do you have a favorite post-flight recovery routine? Hit reply to this email. I'd love to hear what's working for you.

If you know anyone who can benefit from this information, you can share it by forwarding this email.

Wheels up!
