This Month at Future Flight Attendant

Each month here at Future Flight Attendant and especially inside the Course & Coaching Program, we focus on one key theme to support your growth. This month's theme is Calm in the Clouds (or, as I like to call it, Our Summer of Self-Care).

Summer flying is an opportunity to go to new destinations, but it can be intense. Airports are packed, planes are full, operational meltdowns are happening, and reserves are flying nonstop.

That’s why the focus this month is self-care and grounding routines to help you navigate the busiest time of year.

Being a flight attendant is an amazing career, but it's taxing on your body and mind. It’s essential to build your inner tools right alongside your skills.

I've shared a few exclusive journal prompts over on Instagram this week for flight attendants and aspiring flight attendants. They’re designed to help you identify your biggest stress triggers, prioritize self-care while flying, and stay calm under pressure, especially during the summer meyham.

Tip of the Week: Prioritize Self-Care

This week’s reminder is simple, prioritize self-care and get outside when you can.

As a flight attendant, you spend hours inside a pressurized metal tube. Then you move through airports with recycled air, and often check into hotel rooms where the windows don’t even open.

Sometimes, your only chance to breathe fresh air might be a quick moment while waiting for the hotel van or walking into the airport.

Even a few short minutes outside can reset your entire nervous system.

Don’t underestimate the power of sunshine, fresh air, or just sitting near a tree.

For me, prioritizing self-care was one of the hardest things as a flight attendant. I wasn't that good at it before that either, if I'm being honest. It wasn’t until my health started to suffer that I fully understood just how important it is to be proactive instead of reactive.

But the good news is, it’s never too late.

Start today with something small. Give yourself five minutes. You matter.

Hello Reader, After the Southwest alert glitch, I received hundreds of emails. Some were hard to read, but most were thoughtful, kind, and deeply encouraging.
