I hope you are having a great week! This is our last week of summer, and the kids are getting ready to head back to school on Monday. I can hardly believe that I have a senior and a sophomore in high school.

I never want my kids to leave the nest; I would be happy if they lived at home for the rest of their lives. I know it’s wishful thinking, though, as all baby birds eventually learn to fly on their own.

As we wrap up the summer of self-care, I have fully embraced this vital concept. Burnout can happen easily, so set aside time for care while working. It helps you stay happy and healthy, reducing the risk of illness and overexertion.

Who is Hiring Flight Attendants

Your weekly reminder to check who is hiring. I have been asked about Delta opening applications. They often open in the fall, but I will not announce anything until it is official, and I haven't heard anything yet.

It's wise to stay prepared so that you're not rushing when opportunities arise. Delta is an excellent airline to work for and receives a large number of applications, making preparation essential. Get ready in advance to avoid scrambling at the last minute!

Tip of the Week: Glowing and Hydrated Skin

On one of my last trips before I stopped flying, I worked a Dubai trip. On the way there, I basically taught a skincare class in the galley. (I'm not an esthetician, but I have always been OBSESSED with skincare.)

When I woke up from crew rest, my crew could not believe how fresh my skin looked. I pulled out my kit and walked everyone through what I used and why.

I even matched products to each person. One of the male flight attendants said he never used special skincare, and he was shocked by how different his skin looked after one application. Everyone was taking notes and photos. It was so much fun to see the glow and how much more youthful everyone's skin looked after the treatment.

Flying dries out your skin. I am a naturally dry person even when I'm not flying, so I layer. I use a mist or essence, a hydrating serum, a barrier cream, then a light oil to plump up my skin.

I add sheet masks and under-eye patches during crew rest, and whenever I need an extra boost of hydration for my skin.
