✈️ Your Flight Attendant Dream Has Room for Your Real Life

Hello Reader,

The fall festivities are continuing over here, and this week I wanted to share another little behind-the-scenes glimpse. That little red building in the photo is the smokehouse. My dream is to get it set up again so we can use it as an "outdoor" kitchen. The leaves are getting ready to peak, and I'm out taking pictures every day.

I’ve been getting emails from a lot of you saying you’re enjoying these personal pictures, and I’m thrilled. Most of what you see from me is flight attendant content, but there’s a whole creative life happening over here in the Appalachian Mountains, too.

Sometimes that creativity goes into Future Flight Attendant. Sometimes it goes into Halloween decorations. And sometimes the decorating becomes a very convenient way to procrastinate. 😂

One thing I’ve always loved about flight attendants is how much creativity they bring to the table. Different backgrounds, interests, talents, and stories. Becoming a flight attendant adds something wonderful to your life, but you still get to be you.

If you enjoy wildlife, mountain life, and whatever creative project I’m into next, you can also follow along on my personal Facebook page.

Let me know if you’d like more of these little behind-the-scenes glimpses!

Let’s get into this week’s Crew Briefing.

The Resume Service Is Open

The Future Flight Attendant Resume Service reopened, and there is currently one spot left.

If you joined the waitlist but didn’t receive the announcement, my apologies. We discovered an issue with the waitlist that caused some subscribers to miss it.

Every resume is personally written by me to highlight your experience and the skills relevant to the flight attendant role. You do not need previous flight attendant experience to have a professional background worth presenting well.

If you want me to write yours, you can find the details and current availability below.

On the Blog: Flight Attendant Resume With No Experience

Changing careers doesn’t erase the experience you’ve already earned.

I updated the flight attendant resume article this week for candidates wondering whether their background is a fit for aviation, including those applying without prior flight attendant experience.

If that’s been on your mind, this is a good place to start.

Have Your CJO? Get Ready for Training

You worked hard to earn your conditional job offer. Now it’s time to prepare for the next step toward your wings.

Initial flight attendant training brings a demanding schedule, testing, hands-on evaluations, and plenty of new information.

Your airline teaches you safety and service procedures. The Flight Attendant Training Prep Program helps you prepare for the pace, pressure, and demands of training so you can arrive ready to learn and work toward earning your wings.

If you’re waiting for your training date, this is a good time to begin.

From RV Life to Home: Why I Kept Starlink

I started using Starlink when I was full-time RVing, and it was wonderful to have Wi-Fi wherever I stayed.

When we settled down back home in the Mountains, I kept it. Traditional internet service isn’t available where we live, so Starlink came off the road and became our home internet.

It’s making its way into aircraft cabins, too, with airlines including United, Hawaiian, and Qatar Airways already using Starlink Wi-Fi.

If you’ve been considering it, you can receive $100 in cash or service credit through the referral offer when you qualify. Here is my referral link:

💡 Tip of the Week: Read Your Training Packet From Top to Bottom

Getting ready for flight attendant training? Make sure to read your airline’s training packet from start to finish, even if you’ve already started shopping and packing. The best way to stay compliant is to carefully review everything your airline sends you.

There’s more inside than just a packing list. You’ll find details about tasks to complete before training, what to bring, and what to expect when you arrive.

When choosing clothing and shoes for class, let your airline’s dress code guide your purchases to ensure you’re ready for day one.

🛍️ Amazon Storefront & Pick of the Week

Preparing for an interview, heading to training, or already flying? The Future Flight Attendant Amazon Storefront brings together interview outfits, shoes, luggage, and flight attendant must-haves to make shopping easier.

As an Amazon Associate, Future Flight Attendant earns from qualifying purchases.

New: Training Essentials by Airline!

I’ve been getting requests for specific airline training essentials, and I know it’s a lot to pull together before you leave.

To make it easier, I’ve brought the training collections together in one section. Explore United and Southwest selections alongside general women’s and men’s training collections, with more airlines to come.

Have training coming up and want to see your airline featured? Reply to this email and tell me which airline you’re preparing for.

Pick of the Week: A Laundry Bag That Saves Luggage Space

This caught my eye because it does double duty: it’s a laundry bag and a compression bag.

Keep your dirty clothes separate while you’re traveling, carry them to the hotel laundry when it’s wash time, and compress the bag to take up less room in your luggage.

It’s waterproof, too, making it handy for wet swimsuits when you’re packing up after a layover or a trip.

For training, layovers, or vacation, this is a practical little find.

🎙️ Final Boarding Announcement

A new career adds to your story. It doesn’t erase everything that came before it.

You bring your own experience, personality, and strengths. Preparing to communicate that value is part of becoming a competitive flight attendant candidate.

The Flight Attendant Interview Success Program gives you structured preparation for the entire hiring process, weekly coaching emails from me, and opportunities to ask questions inside the lessons and community.

Whether you’re applying for the first time or ready to try again, let’s put your experience to work toward the career you want.

Blue skies and smooth interviews,

Thank you for flying with Future Flight Attendant. Buh-bye! ✈️

Crew Briefing Hello Reader, Halloween is well underway over here at FFA HQ. My cat Dex got his wings! Everyone else is getting their wings, and he wanted some too. I found him in a parking lot under a car screaming when he was only a few days old. Dexter loves wearing his wings and being spooky. With the pumpkins and decorations around him, he fits right in. Being a flight attendant changed the way I celebrate the holidays. When you don’t know whether you’ll be home on the holiday itself, you...

So today, I’m doing something different. I want to share a little about myself and why I care so much about your future. Because becoming a flight attendant isn’t just about getting a job. It’s about the possibilities for your life. The Career That Opened Doors I’ve always been adventurous. At 19, I was living in Rome...

TSA luggage lock on a flight attendant travel bag at the airport

Hello Reader, If you’ve been around here for any length of time, you may have noticed that the Future Flight Attendant website has undergone a huge refresh lately. There’s a reason for that. I decided to work with a business coach because FFA means so much to me, and I want to build it into the best resource it can be for aspiring, new, and even current flight attendants. I still do the work. A lot of it. But having an experienced professional look at my business from the outside has helped...
